The Night Vision Monocular is designed with image-processing technology that is comparable to night vision devices used in the U.S. military. It is able to amplify ambient light up to 10,000 times as well as automatically adjust its gain based on the amount of ambient light it detects. Users can also maximize light gathering capabilities by manually adjusting the gain and frame rate from as low as 2 fps to as high as 30 fps.

Once the amount of light is perfect in the Monocular, it can also take up to 400 images that it stores on the 512 MB SD card. Each image has a resolution of 510 x 490 and image colors can be adjusted to fit the needs of the user. The monocular also features an adjustable eyepiece with 2.6x magnification.
